Critique of the newspaper

This involves a review of stories, editing and heads in one week’s editions of the paper (or a specific section). I mark up heads and stories and write a detailed evaluation for the editors. Ten papers--including The Washington Post, Memphis Commercial Appeal and Buffalo News--have engaged me to produce such critiques and reports.

Internet coaching alternative

One-on-one coaching of your reporters can also be done via the Internet. Please refer to the “For Reporters” page to review methods and policy I use in coaching reporters..
